โIt is time to rise and shine and handle your business DeeDee.โ So I jumped up eager to get my day going. I decided last week that I was going to get to the gym before things got too busy so I did. Then I had to leave for a lunch date with a new friend, but before I could walk out the door for lunch I get a text saying, โCan you bring me a banana please?โ Oh no! I have someone staying at my home for a few days that had surgery, and I wanted to be able to assist her, but I totally forgot that she was even there! Lol! Backtrack; make sure sheโs taken care of, then off to my lunch date. Came back home to start my new class that began today. So, I was in the process of reading, completing a writing assignment and trying to enjoy life all at the same time. Schoolwork is done so now itโs time to handle some things for my Godโs Glamorous Girls conference thatโs coming up in July where I expect to see all of you there. Then while I’m sitting and doing schoolwork, my dog comes up behind me and starts regurgitating everything that he had eaten earlier which included plenty of grass. Yuck! After cleaning up this yucky green stuff off the floor, I readjust my fallen eyelash and jump in front of a camera to prepare for a webinar where Mike and I speak to pastors that are connected to us. Did he just ask me what are we going to eat? Yes, he did! Thank God for my dad who had prepared food while we were on the call. So I scurry to eat so I can sit down and write this blog that was supposed to go out on Monday but will now go out on Tuesday instead. Needless to say, it was a very busy day.
I was presented with two choices, to feel overwhelmed or take it in stride and keep it moving. How many of you know I chose the latter? I refuse to allow the enemy to have any of my emotional time. It is too costly to give it away free. Plus he doesnโt deserve my emotions. For years I gave my feelings away at no cost to him, but it cost me greatly because I let my emotional state control a lot of my choices. Today I wanted to write you to encourage you in all that you do. Sometimes you may feel a little spent and tired, but child of God our Father has graced us to handle all that we do. So hold your head high, square your shoulders back, and put that pep back in your step knowing that if it is in your life, you can handle it. Every day you have to decide to enjoy life to its fullest and not allow the cares of this world to suck you dry. Sometimes you canโt plan for the unexpected but you can decide how you will respond emotionally. Who told you that everything has to be done now? I have decided that what needs to be done I will get done and what canโt I will not stress over it. Live, Laugh, and Love Life on purpose today! I love you, my sister!
Send this blog to everyone you know that could use some encouragement.
Here are a few scripture affirmations for you to meditate on:
God, you are my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; You make my feet like hinds’ feet and make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! Habakkuk 3:19 AMP
You will guard me and keep me in perfect and constant peace as my mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because I commit myself to You, lean on You, and hope confidently in You. Isaiah 26:3
Godโs peace [is mine, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
Great encouragement – just when I thought it was only me!!!!!
that was such an encouraging word just today I came home during the day and you know how you see more dirt or dust in the day than the evening normally I would stop everything and start getting in but I realized I cant do everything lol at the same time.
Loved reading this…. Thank you Veronica for sending this to me. DeeDee is absolutley adorable. You were right in her ability to connect with our inner hearts in Jesus…. I will certainly be tuning in…
Thanks for sharing. We thank God for His strength and grace but we needed to be reminded we are not super woman.

That’s the enemy’s strategy to make you feel alone.
Amen Dr. DeeDee. I Word N’ Due Season for me… thx!
Amen! Thank you Dr.DeeDee, I needed that encouraging word. I was in a bad place last week, but being that I know where my source and strengnth comes from I had to pull myself together. Sometimes we let our emotions get the best of us, but we have to stand and push forward not faint.
I just had to copy and paste this because it spoke volumes to my spirit and soul and put a BIG smile on my face. I HAVE HELP (Thank-you Jesus!), I have peace and I have control over my emotions! The Greater One lives in me to assist me in every area of my life! Thank you Dr. Dee Dee!! I love you too my sister! ๐ #truthbomb

AWESOME!
Just when I was about to let my to-do list overwhelm me. I needed the reminder that the list won’t get shorter because I’m overwhelmed but I can decide to take it in stride and do what I can do. What doesn’t get done I just have to leave on the table.
You will guard me and keep me in perfect and constant peace as my mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because I commit myself to You, lean on You, and hope confidently in You. Isaiah 26:3
Selah & Amen! Just Pause & Let Go & Let God strengthen you to do what you can do one day at a time. Thank God for new mercies & grace each day he gives us!
So be it. And that is what I am learning more and more to say. So Be It!. I truly am realizing that God allows me to accomplish all things through Christ who strengthens me. And I have to stay focused on the tasks He gives me(whether I feel like it or not). I am learning to become more prepared for Kingdom work and not busy work. I have to separate the two and choose Kingdom work. It is the most profitable. I do not need anybody to keep me busy because they may not want to do it. And the Spirit tells me what is what if I listen and do not try to figure it out myself. Busy work no, Kingdom work yes. I am amazed how God gives me the energy for Kingdom work, and how I get tired easily with busy work. Great article. We all need to evaluate where we are in this area. Be Blessed.
Amen, going with the flow of God.

Good morning DeeDee,
I’ve been wanting to talk to you since I met you in Maryland and Joi conference. I read your book focus, and I probably need to read again. I’m in a place right now in my life where I was attending a ministry where I felt I was stagnant and I met with the leaders about my concerns and was told to get out. I’m not playing woe is me, because I do know all things work for your good. So fast forward, my husband and I were going to leave the ministry anyway, because we decided it was time to relocate to some place new, because this place has so many scares and I have know friends or family here. I’ve applied for several jobs and know answers as of yet, but my husband just accepted a new job in place we are trying to relocate to. I’m trying so hard to stay positive that my time is coming, but I feel stagnated and that I can’t move forward, because until I move from this location. I don’t even know at this time what to do, because I’m so discouraged. I want a new life, new job, new friendships with people that will go into battle with me and at this time I don’t have anyone to pray with or to talk to. DeeDee, I’m holding on to God with every ounce I have but please keep me in your prayers. Sad and want a change and I’m trying but I can’t relocate with my husband without a job. We don’t have a church that we are members of because we are trying to wait until it’s God timing. I have just settled for so long for everything that has been handed to me that now I know that God has greater for me. Pray that God will is done in my life and my family.
AMEN!!!!! Thanks Dr. DeeDee!
Personal bravery and Invincible Army!!! Good God Almighty
Dr. DeeDee, this blog post was most definitely right on time. The week prior, I was feeling so exhausted, didn’t know how I was going to go into another workweek after having, what seemed to be, a short weekend, but as He always does, God worked it out! I have to constantly remind myself that when I give something to God, I have to let it go completely. It is only then that He can do something with it. We have to be reminded to trust in Him!
